All-in-One Energy Storage System
is a DC-coupled battery energy storage system for 690V and 800V PV plants
The system combines a 418 kWh liquid-cooled battery cabinet, bidirectional DC/DC control, BMS, intelligent EMS coordination, fire protection, thermal management, and SCADA connectivity into a practical DC-side storage solution. It is designed for new and legacy PV plants that use 690V or 800V inverter platforms, helping recover curtailed solar energy, improve self-consumption, and add storage to the existing PV inverter.

Why Galaxy 418L DC-Coupled ?
Galaxy 418L DC-Coupled Energy Storage System feature an intelligent fire protection system, combining the RS311 smoke-temperature detector, QRR0.15G/S-PFK thermochemical aerosol extinguisher, and audible-visual alarm for early, precise fire detection, instant warning, and rapid, efficient suppression. Compact, fast-acting, low-maintenance, and highly adaptable, this system ensures comprehensive safety and stable operation of the energy storage system.
The Galaxy 418L DC-Coupled Energy Storage System integrates FFD POWER's proprietary ANY PORT SCADA platform to coordinate the EMS, BMS, DC/DC controller, and site-level interfaces through a unified communication architecture. This enables reliable local control, remote monitoring, and flexible operating logic for PV charging, battery dispatch, and system protection. Meanwhile, the Siemens PLC ensures local safety interlocks and control logic remain fully functional and secure. This architecture guarantees both fast external responsiveness and robust local reliability.
Galaxy 418L DC-Coupled Energy Storage System is optimized for practical deployment in medium- and large-scale PV retrofit and solar-plus-storage projects. By keeping the battery on the DC side and preserving the existing PV inverter, the system can reduce site modification work compared with solutions that require a separate AC-side battery PCS pathway. Once delivered, setup is straightforward—requiring only basic electrical connections—while its flexible and easily scalable configuration ensures it can be quickly expanded to meet evolving energy demands.
The key value of Galaxy 418L DC-Coupled lies in its retrofit-friendly architecture for higher-voltage PV plants. A bidirectional DC/DC controller is installed on the input side of the existing 690V or 800V PV inverter, so the battery can be integrated without replacing approved inverter assets like conventional DC Coupling. Because the final AC output still remains within the original inverter envelope, the project can often avoid the extra permitting, utility review, or new grid-connection workflow that may be triggered by adding a separate AC-side PCS. At the same time, the system helps recover curtailed solar energy, increase self-consumption, and shift surplus PV generation to higher-value periods, while matching the voltage trend already used in larger PV systems.
